FAQs
Questions operators usually ask first.
Short answers before anyone books time in the diary.
How much does the Operator Compliance Health Check cost?
Remote reviews start at £395 and on-site reviews start at £695, both for operators with up to 10 vehicles. A 30-day follow-up review is available for £195. For larger fleets, multiple operating centres or DVSA correspondence, contact DW for a scoped quotation.
What do I get from the health check?
A pre-review document request, a 60–90 minute management interview, a sample review of up to five vehicles and five drivers, a red/amber/green assessment, a prioritised action plan showing owner and target date, a written findings report, and a 30-minute results meeting. The report is issued within five working days of receiving all records.
Can you help with Operator Licence compliance?
Yes. As a Transport Manager with the Certificate of Professional Competence, Daniel can provide practical guidance on the routines, records, ownership and evidence that support a compliant fleet and back office. This is operational guidance, not formal legal advice or a Traffic Commissioner decision.
Is this a formal compliance sign-off?
No. DW provides operational reviews, admin checks and practical improvement actions. Formal legal advice or statutory compliance sign-off should sit with the correct appointed professionals.
What systems can you look at?
Planning tools, spreadsheets, telematics, dashcams, tacho analysis, maintenance records, driver records, reporting packs and the handovers between them.
Do you work remotely or on site?
Both. Systems and reporting reviews can start remotely. Yard, workforce and operational rhythm work is usually stronger with at least some time on site.
Do you cover outside the UK?
Yes. DW is UK based and can support operations with full EU coverage, especially where UK operators need stronger visibility across cross-border work.
What happens on the first call?
A 30-minute discussion about the issue, the systems involved, where time is being lost and whether a fixed-scope review is the right next step.
